If you live in the Coca Beach Florida area, stop by and support a good cause. Mike Rogers (the founder of Grind 4 Life) is one of the coolest guys in skateboarding I have ever met.
Mike Thompson is the winner of Gear 4 A Year. Check out this video where he got to meet all the team managers that sponsored Shred or Die's Gear 4 A Year.
Yea I went to this event last weekend. Todd Huber from Skatelab and his Skateboard Muesum along with IASC put on this first time event to induct four epic skateboarders into the newly formed Skateboarding Hall of Fame.
Our sister company that makes Foundations American made decks, Watson Laminates, made four hand made completes with custom hand done graphics.
The inductees are Bruce Logan, Tony Alva, Tony Hawk and Danny Way. It was held at the Vans in Orange.
I know this is not funny or punk or that you may care or not. You probably don't know who this was. I guess the important thing is that Sin was a skateboarder. A brother. And he has fallen.
Sin was a old friend that I met at Del Mar Skate Ranch in the 80's. He was a crazy skateboarder and did these huge eggplants. He was funny and constantly made us all laugh. He was a creative mindand force.
I didn't see Sin much over the years but when I did it was always a fun reunion.
Congratulations to Dekline flow rider Clint Walker for just missing the golden ticket today and placing 2nd in qualifires. Flow rider Jereme Knibbs made the cut today too.
Jereme Knibbs is from Florida and has been on flow for the last year. Dude rips!
Abdias Rivera, David Reyes, Nick Merlino, Alex Gourdorous and flow machine Elijah Berle will all be skating in the Damn Am contest this weekend. If you are in the Costa Mesa, CA area come by the Volcom warehouse to check it out.
All hail the Skatepark of Tampa! Loyal Pawns unite in your glory!
Brian: "How much do you pay for this? I will barter for some new socks
please... I pinched these from the Vancouver Damn Am promo... Had to confess..."
Ed: "You can have free socks if Billy wins the next Showdown."
Austin is on a RVCA trip, so I picked one this week. Niel Blender was the coolest cat when I was a kid. Not the best trick-wise, but awesome in his attitude towards skating.
Speaking of the RVCA trip, see photos~! DAY 1 and DAY 2... And scope the new ad.
Is this Dave Carnie? Former Foundation team rider circa early 90's. Big Brother and Jackass instigator. Writer extrondinaire. And curator of the of the Food on Drunk blog. What is he doing at Watson Laminates USA HQ? What is he doing with Swank and Barker. Is there a possible Whalecock/Foundation collab for fat old guys?
Probably not at this rate buy maybe. We'll see. Or not.
